I contacted Cover Cloud who were amazing from start to finish, helpful enough on the web chat, I didn’t even have to call. Explained what happened and they sent me the link of where to log the theft and all police documentation. A replacement phone was sent out to me the next day, and considering it’s a refurbished/remanufactured device, it looks as good as new and battery is great.
Thanks so much cover cloud. I have recommended you to two of my friends who were without phone insurance and my situation has prompted them to get coverage.

Bought gadget insurance from Cover Cloud online (June 2024). I chose this product from Cover Cloud because I couldn’t find insurance for my HP laptop with other providers. Website was very user friendly with very clear information. The multi-step form was easy to complete.
I got an expensive ebike last year (2023) in February and a few weeks later, it got stolen! I was so stressed and worried as I'd never had such an expensive item stolen before. I contacted CoverCloud to make my claim and they were so quick and easy to deal with, I would recommend them to anyone. I got my claim sorted and new bike within only about 2 weeks. They were also very easy to communicate with and very helpful every time. I have just renewed my insurance for another year and don't plan to leave them anytime soon.

AVOID The company is actually Taurus Insurance Services - they say they cover loss but really don't
I took out this policy after reading the good reviews. But this company isn't actually CoverCloud but served by Taurus Insurance Services and their reviews are really bad and much more reflective of the service here. if I had known I would never have taken out a policy here.
I purchased their highest level of protection, one that covered loss and theft. I work on location and subsequently lost by laptop at work and told them the last time I thought I had seen it was on a desk at work. After a month of back and forth they informed me of the caveat that if the laptop was left unattended then it didn't count as loss. With my argument being isn't that the definition of lost ? something suddenly leaving your person? anyway a month of not being able to take work on because of not having a laptop, and now I have to purchase a new one - I would avoid and go with another provider for peace of mind.

The worst company I've ever dealt with
The worst company I've ever dealt with. I was a customer for 5 years, adding new devices whenever I changed phones. I never submitted a claim, and after 5 years, I bought an iPad and added it to my insurance along with my phone. Unfortunately, I lost it while traveling abroad, so I submitted a claim because I had full coverage. They looked for any reason to decline the request and rejected it, even though I had been a customer for 5 years with no claims. When I needed them, they let me down. Thank goodness I canceled my policy. If you want to insure your gadgets, use Samsung or Apple. don't trust this company. Even one star is too much. I can't believe I was a customer for so long.

Changing my phone
Very helpful with options when I changed my phone. I could have stayed on the same plan with the new phone, or cancel the policy and receive a refund for the unused period of cover. Since I wanted to upgrade the cover for the new phone, I took out a new policy with CoverCloud. I received my refund for the cancelled policy within two days.

I recently used CoverCloud for gadget insurance and had a mixed experience. It was simple to make changes to my policy, like when I upgraded my iPhone. The website is user-friendly, and the live chat is efficient and helpful. I chose them because they offered insurance for my HP laptop when others couldn’t. They also insure refurbished gadgets, which was a plus for me. However, while the claim process was fairly quick and straightforward, the overall service was just average, lacking any wow factor. CoverCloud did meet essential needs, but there’s room for improvement.
