I am actually surprised to see such negative reviews. Call on Doc has been a life saver for me so many times. I have never had issues with getting treatment, my prescription or a response. I recently had an issue where the pharmacy was delaying a prescription and it took 24 hours total for my case to be reviewed, medication prescribed, and then the pharmacy issue resolved. I don’t know what people expect from healthcare as it’s usually not always a great experience and telehealth has its own challenges but this is one that is truly worth it.

I used your services because it was affordable and we are broke. The assessment went well, you said you sent my prescription order to my local Walmart.
Upon arrival they had the order but it was submitted by a nurse practitioner not a doctor so they can’t fill it. They have attempted to call you over and over but go straight to voicemail. I have sent you numerous messages and have received no response. I notice that is the solution you give every bad review here but yet it doesn’t fix anything if you won’t answer.
So now I’m out of money and a prescription I can’t fill. This is a scam and I pray you have the day you deserve!!!

Not as advertised
I got signed up, prescription ok and the tracker has not moved from "transmitting rx" since 9:30 am and it is now 2:25pm. I have sent 3 messages with no reply. Seems great until you actually need your medicine. Leaving town in a couple hours and nothing. Still waiting......

Deactivated refill for no reason
I paid for an added refill in my visit, which by the way, they never answered important questions I had asked about my treatment plan. Upon time to refill at my pharmacy, lo and behold, it says refill deactivated (by the provider I had at CallOnDoc). I had no refund for my refill either. Took HOURS to sort out. Never again. They wouldn’t increase my dosage either, which was extremely odd, as I was on the lowest dose of an antidepressant I had used before.

Would highly recommend!
I was using another telephone doctor service but had been told on two different occasions that they couldn’t help and I needed to go visit a doctor (which defected the whole purpose). CallonDoc got me an RX within an hour! I was feeling better by day 2. I would highly recommend this app!

Prescriptions take too long
Well, the concept of this is great, the follow through is not so great. They were careful about the meds they prescribed, but when I couldn’t get it filled in my area, they prescribed something else which, even after agreeing that I would watch out for side effects still never called it in by the end of the night. So you really can’t expect to get prescriptions in 15 minutes. I started this process in the late morning. I feel like it’s very deceptive advertising and that I wasted $39.

Amazing service…
This CallonDoc is really an outstanding service! I’ll be honest I had doubts bcoz of the reviews but my abscess decided we needed to try it and to my pleasant surprise this service works exactly as advertised actually in my case I had antibiotics called in under an hour. I am very happy that something like this exists. I saved myself hours and hours not going to urgent care. I’ll still need to see my regular dentist but this service has definitely helped me today. I really almost didn’t try bcoz of the reviews about this place but I’m really glad I took a chance and can start my journey to recovery.

Initial use was good but them went bad after becoming a member.
My first interaction and use of CallonDoc was very favorable and easy, but once they get you, the service goes way downhill. Sometimes they respond quickly, but most other times it takes at least a day. When they do respond, they don't answer all of your questions or address all of your concerns, so you have to contact them again and hope they'll answer you correctly after you have to wait again for a response. They never follow through with requests, I always have to follow up with them repeatedly to get an answer. They'll ask for information that you have already provided to them multiple times. They show "$5 off" promotion on their website and app for requesting refills when using the app. No where does it mention that it is only applicable to non-members. The website and app already know that I am a member and show my price when I put in a request for a refill and the offer is displayed front and center even with the website and app knowing that I am logged in and a paying member. Very deceiving and deceptive business practices. I'll be dropping them in a month once my health insurance kicks in with my new employer. Next time I need refills when I do not have insurance, I will be sure to steer clear of CallonDoc and use one of many other services that offer the same.

They take your notes and don't read them! You attempt to immediately rectify the situation and help the doctor and/or the website, but there is nothing you can do!
They or the "doctor" ignored two patient requests/needs that were baked into the website! In the end, after 24 hours, I had to backtrack to the pharmacy in addition to paying for additional medication that I specifically denied when filling out the examination.

Absolute waste of time!
I’ve been going around and around and around with this company for two weeks now trying to get my diabetic medication all because they want to try to suck money out of me that I don’t have and have me pay for labs that I just got done. I’ve sent them all the proof that they’ve asked for and it’s still not good enough. They still want to milk me for money and I still don’t have my diabetic medication! The service is a complete waste of time and waste of money!

Important and Reasonably Priced Service that has Room to Improve
Got an antibiotic for an old, failed root canal. Not the one I was expecting but got one in a relatively timely manner. I am going to assume that it will work.
My biggest concern is with the process of preparing the "treatment plan". The process does gather appropriate information and does so in a relatively timely manner (all good). But the process could be improved.
There is no opportunity for patient feedback after the treatment plan is prepared and before the rx is ordered and charge is set in stone. After the plan is prepared and the rx is ordered, there is no opportunity for refund (so I can see business advantage of this approach). In my case, I had questions about the choice of medication and in a follow up contact provided a copy of an older, successfully used prescription. As others have stated, using the site's communication portal, there was no timely communication back to my follow up question. A day later, I still haven't had a response to my follow up questions.
Also, while the whole process was about within the 2 hour promised window, there was no follow up e-mail or text to say your plan is complete and prescription has been ordered except to go back into the program to check the status. Why isn't there a notification? Such a simple and helpful approach should be standard.
As a resource CallonDoc is useful, but could be improved. I note that CoD responses with boilerplate comments to reviews. A review response that does not acknowledge the concerns of the reviewer is worse than no response at all.
Update (3/7/25). Within 24 hours CoD got back to me via phone, e-mail and their own messaging system and competently resolved my issues. I have, therefore, improved their rating.
