Just returned from an Easter break at Barmouth Bay and could not be happier. The site was well maintained and had everything we could wish for. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had the privilege of staying in 204 and it was perfection. A beautiful holiday home, with everything well thought out and spotlessly clean. Thank you to the owners of 204 and all the staff at Barmouth Bay! We loved every second of our family holiday.

We had a lovely time at Mill Rythe! We stayed in the "Burst of Blue" caravan which was spotlessly clean with good space and excellent kitchen facilities. The caravan was immaculate throughout, though having TVs in all four rooms meant the kids were a bit too glued to screens at times...
The outdoor patio area was nice, and the common facilities seemed very new and well-maintained. There was decent entertainment for children, a pleasant bar, and an acceptable soft play area.
A few negatives to note: The bingo sessions dragged on for too long, with many tech issues. You can only buy bingo tickets with cash, but there's no ATM on-site (and staff couldn't advise where to get cash). There were limited activities compared to places like Parkdean. We had to book pool sessions at reception as the app wasn't showing any slots.
On the plus side, the surrounding area is nice and safe to explore, with a Lidl conveniently located nearby.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay but there's definitely room for improvement in certain areas.
Finally general feedback - the booking system is frustrating. Trying to book a future trip shows "sold out" holidays that still appear in search results.
Avoid This Place at All Costs!
Our holiday at this park was a complete disaster. The lodge was filthy and the caravan was not in a fit state with lots of things broken— To make things worse all you could smell was people smoking illegal substances. It got so bad that the police and even police dogs were called out completely ruining any sense of peace or relaxation. We couldn’t sleep, felt unsafe, and honestly just wanted to leave. There was a lot more issues but they had been resolved. This is not a place for families or anyone looking to actually enjoy their holiday. Stay far, far away. We did try to sort this out with Michelle Hankins and Emma at st Ives park but they was not helpful at all. I would recommend you save your money and stay somewhere else.
Prior to our arrival, we received a call on Sunday, 20th April, informing us that the lakeside lodge we had originally booked was no longer available. We were offered alternative accommodation one row back, along with £50 in vouchers. Although this was disappointing, we accepted the arrangement in good faith. On arrival we noted that we were actually two rows back. Not only was this a downgrade from our original booking, but I remain unconvinced that the move was truly due to unavailability. I strongly suspect that our lodge was reassigned to accommodate a longer booking, which would be a deeply unfair practice and not in line with the standards we expected.
Upon arrival at the lodge at 2:30pm, it became immediately apparent that the accommodation was not fit for purpose, particularly in terms of cleanliness and hygiene—ultimately posing a serious health and safety concern.
The first thing we noticed was a strong, pungent smell of urine, which, though slightly masked by cleaning products, was unmistakable. As we began to unpack, further issues became clear:
The kitchen worktop and cooker were smeared with remnants of old food.
The floor was visibly dirty, scattered with crumbs—including a piece of chocolate I had to discard quickly to prevent our dog from eating it.
The table was pointlessly laid for four people; however, the plates and glasses were so filthy I wouldn’t have allowed even my dog to use them.
When trying to put our food away, I discovered the third drawer was unusable due to a layer of food crumbs.
The spare room, though unused, was covered in cobwebs—indicating a lack of proper cleaning. Ironically a card had been left by Ebong, Kelly and Liss to say they had "cleaned the lodge"!
At 4pm, I reported these concerns to reception. A staff member, who openly admitted he had no sense of smell, came to the lodge and simply sprayed a neutraliser before leaving us an additional £30 in vouchers. We then went for a walk, hoping the situation would improve.
Unfortunately, upon our return, the smell slowly intensified—particularly in the main bedroom. It became so overpowering that I struggled to sleep. At midnight, I got up to use the toilet without slippers and discovered the true source of the stench: the carpet between the bed and wall was saturated with urine.
The fact that we unknowingly spent the night in a lodge with a urine-soaked carpet is deeply distressing. The psychological impact of that night—feeling dirty, exposed to unsanitary conditions, and utterly let down—has stayed with us even after returning home. I had to wash all of our clothes that were in that room, and the unpleasant memories have tainted what should have been a relaxing break.
We have been refunded the full cost of the break, however a lack of empathy and remorse shown by all staff proves how unprofessional this company is. I highly recommend that you do not book through them and lets just hope they ripped the carpet up in 14 Wag View - I doubt it!

Worse caravan experience in my life, I booked a Superior Caravan and on booking it says beds made on arrival, and paid for the service , reach the Caravan at 5.00 o’clock, no beds made, even no bed linen, call the number on caravan, they can’t do nothing, go to the office, went to office and office closed, had to run everywhere to find someone, had to go out with kids came back after 2 hours, someone left 2 pillow cases, some bed sheets but all wrong sizes, 2 pillow cases not possible to manage for 4 people, everyone very upset as we came from London, ruined the holiday on First day, really disappointed and very poor services, even dirty stairs as first appearance

smells of sewage and the staff couldn’t care less
here at tattershall lakes now, we visit 2-3x a year as a family (10 of us, we share 3-4 lodges each year) and this will be our last visit. arrived to find the lodge in a bit of a state, it stinks of sewage in the bathroom (the entire lodge smells but the bathroom is unbearable) and made them aware immediately, and then made them aware again this morning. each time we’re advised someone will come and have a look. no one has.
*edit* an hour or so after the review some maintenance staff came, had a look, agreed it smells awful, said everything looks fine except a an outside tap has been leaking so that’s probably what caused it, switched off the leaking tap, and said this will probably fix it. another day later it smells exactly the same.
*edit* returned to the lodge last night after visiting the on site bar and the smell was so overwhelming we couldn’t even eat in the lodge. maintenance staff came out and agreed the whole floor needs to be removed and replaced as it’s all rotten. said we will likely be moved to a different lodge and given some vouchers or something. not much hope of either as last year we found a used hypodermic needle in one of the rooms (it was under the bed) and they did nothing about that either. not even a reply to the complaint email.

All ready booked a return visit.
We have just returned from Whitecliff Bay, Isle of Wight. From check in to leaving everything was perfect. Every member of staff were friendly and helpful. The sea view caravan was clean, comfortable and quality.
Have already booked our return.

Not what I expected at all…
I stayed in Tattershall Lakes - Tribeca 5 and expected an executive experience as that is what I paid for, but that is not what I got. I arrived to a very dirty and dusty lodge. This is something I check for because my youngest daughter who is almost 2, has quite a bad dust allergy so need to check the space she will be sleeping in particularly is as clean as can be. The blinds in the children's room were thick with dust, as were the top of the headboards. Furthermore, upon checking around the mattress, on the slats there are what I believe to be either dust mite eggs or bed bug shells. A lot of them. So the baby had to sleep in the main bed with us as we cant risk a flare up and the other two children will have to sleep on the pull out sofa - which is covered in greasy stains might I add.
In addition, the handles on the cupboards and wardrobes etc were grubby and dusty and the carpets in both bedrooms were quite badly stained.
When we arrived, the front deck was covered in bird poo which one of my children stood in - I understand you cant control where birds poo but not all of it looked fresh so surely should have been cleaned before arrival especially as we will be going in and out to the hot tub.
I did not book a pet friendly lodge simply because we don’t have a pet and I myself have an allergy to long haired animals but there is evidence of animals being here such as different colour fur embedded in the carpets and in corners, chewed door frames, destroyed blinds on the front door and dog biscuits on the deck and stuck in between the frame of the door - including a lot of cigarette ash.
I have given 2 stars as the hot tub was enjoyable.
Currently waiting to hear back from the guest solutions team

Filthy poor quality accommodation
The standard of the executive tribeca with hot tub was disgusting. The heating broke down, the fire alarm kept going off, blinds were broken. My daughters bed stank of wet dog and when we took the sheets off to make her a bed somewhere else e found a false eyelash stuck to the mattress. The carpet was covered in black dog hair and the floor took 3 buckets of water to get clean enough so our baby could go onto the floor to crawl around. The photo is bucket 2. The cleaning and maintainable of this lodge was shocking. The only positive was when we complained the following morning and they couldn't offer us a clean alternative they refunded the full cost of the break and my mum booked us somewhere else to go so our kids weren't disappointed.

Fantastic caravan park
We have just stayed for our third break in the last 6 weeks when we found you guys at mersea island.
Orchard 1 is the best caravan I've ever stayed in and we choose the caravan every time we return

Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Unable to book activities for Tattersall Lakes complex as a private owner/booker, for Easter 2025. In the meantime paying guests who probably come once a year or less get to book all the slots up now. You contact and request they open the booking via online contact and they couldn't care less.

Just stayed at Clumber Park Lodges in Nottinghamshire and was really impressed with the cleanliness of the site. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the Lodge was clean and well equipped. Perfect place for dogs and for anyone who wants to just get away from the stresses of daily life as there is very limited Internet connectivity or phone signal. The only negative to this site is there is very little to do for children as we went with our 9 Yr old Grandaughter and at times she got quite bored. The addition of a play park would be great and would earn an extra star from me.

If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would - we booked our holiday while at Tattershall lakes November last year 2024 for October 2025 - we have had to change our plans due to the fact we are due to have a new baby round the time of the holiday I have just spoken to them and they can’t not move the holiday to march 2026 and it’s next year - so my only other option was to cancel
The holiday and lose the deposit - £80 . I will not be staying with this company ever again they are quite happy to take money off you a year in advance but if you want to change the holiday to the following year that’s a No no . No real explanation at all as to why . Awful

Stayed in a superior caravan for the weekend with friends. On arrival no hot water no heating no shower. Hot tub grubby. No towels. Shower pole came off in my hand.
Maintenance had to be called out twice. Eventually had hot water and heating. Staff abrupt on the phone.
Expensive drinks at the bar.
Tattershall Lakes very over rated- won't be coming back

I booked this stay for myself and my family to celebrate my partners birthday. I paid extra to have a cottage with a hot tub that we could enjoy in the evenings once our children were in bed. On arrival the hot tub wasn’t very warm so I asked for maintenance to come over to which he said he would come back in the morning to check the temp. We were then told the temperature was set at 37 which is tepid for a hot tub! The whole idea of a hot tub is for it to be hot, especially this time of year. As a result of this the hot tub has barely been used which is a complete waste of money and was the only reason I picked this cottage. As well as this, the decking was filthy on arrival, mud and moss everywhere which gets trod in through the cottage. It could have also done with a jet wash to prevent it being a slipping hazard! Finally, the dishwasher doesn’t work. Again I have paid a lot of money for this stay!

Very poor customer service. Very high rates for what you pay.
Spoke to one person freely, then had to call back and new person wouldn't speak to me due to customer protection. I pointed this out and she just said she obviously dont know what's she was doing!!!
Rip off!! Not worth the money.
