I found this and thought it looked a bit suspicious bc of how old the reviews were, so I didn't know if I'd even get my items. Yet they sent them out so quick, received them within a week and they were amazing! They were actually a bit cheaper than Weee! So I can definitely vouch for them being a great place for Japanese items

I've ordered from them multiple times, every order was meticulously packed and items were in good shape. Out of six or so orders in the last couple years, only once was there a minor issue in shipping and they addressed it quickly and professionally. Outstanding place for getting the hard to find Japanese snacks we love.

I never receive damaged products. They give details about discounted products that are about to hit their sell by date. They refunded my money when a product ran out of stock. I've received complimentary items. If you're willing to pay shipping, it can be cheaper than using a box subscription service. I've never had a problem and will continue using them.

I'm out in LA and it's hard to find legit Asian candy and chocolate . I came across Asian Food Grocer and everything is affordable from the chocolate to the Coca Cola candy and more .

I usually
get about 16+ items for about $25 w shipping which is amazing and sometimes they have the craziest deals in clearance . Only flaw in clearance is expiration date but I eat them right away .

Great place to shop for Asian food , candy , groceries , etc

Trustworthy and Quick!

Fast and precise

Got here fast and was exactly what I ordered, my only small complaint is that they were out of stock a lot of cool items, but made it up with having the ramen I was looking for.

Overall, very good!

I've only ordered from here once, but I'm pretty happy with it! Everything came in a well-packed box (not all strewn around or anything), and along with my items, there was a layer of bubble wrap on the bottom, and a paper that listed all the snacks I bought.
The only thing was one of my red bean buns were slightly squished, but I have no clue if it was just originally like that. Both buns that I got said they should be eaten within 60 days of being thawed, but I don't know when they were originally thawed (unless I'm being dumb), so I should probably eat them soon either way.
All of the stuff I bought expired within a year, or around a month from now. (For example, one bag of chips expires May in 2022, while another expires November of this year.) I only tasted this fried egg pastry so far, and it was soft and seemed fresh. I'll update if something ends up tasting bad! I give it four stars because of VERY small issues, but overall I'm really happy with everything!
I wanted to give more of a detailed review because I know that simple reviews aren't that useful. Hope this helped! :]

UPDATE: Be careful of Cancer and reproductive harm warnings on some of the items! I advise you check the packaging of your chosen snack on some other website before you buy, because it does not display the warnings on their website. I had to throw away two of my snacks (after I had eaten some by accident), because I wasn't aware of the warning until I stumbled upon the sticker on the back. Just make sure to research what you're buying before you order it from AFG!

Side note: I know some people wouldn't care about these warnings, since they're low risk, but I personally aren't comfortable with them.

Always great service

Fantastic

Okay, I really wanted to write a fully transparent review as I'm a first time buyer from this company. I've seen a lot of complaints from unhappy people about last minute out of stock items. I had this happen myself and all I have to say is, check your emails! Mine was in my spam/junk and they informed me before my package was shipped, were very kind and refunded me for the item full price. This can happen in wholesale companies due to supply and demand, and as someone who's ordered from other Asian online stores this ones been the most caring and helpful thus far. My package arrived a whole 3 days early (woo!) Which says a lot, given the state of the world as of late. When I opened it the invoice was there and everything was packed so nicely, and protected. (To help: they packaged my things in separate little boxes inside the big box, with green packing bubble wrap. Nothing was smooshed!) Since i knew one item was out of stock, I checked everything else off and noticed they gave me an extra food item. (I think as a small apology for the out of stock item, as the other reviews have stated) so to sum it up, if you want fast and cared for items from a reliable company, this is the one! Ill definitely be ordering again. Cheap prices and amazing staff!

Perfect experience

Perfect experience! My order arrived quickly, everything was accounted for, and they even threw in a few free gifts! Everything was nicely packaged and the items are very reasonably priced. I’ll definitely buy from them again!

delivery takes roughly a week from California to Florida

so far good service, made an order on September 9th, 2020 and my package shipped on September 11th, 2020. from the provided invoice i can assume all ordered items were in stock and on the way to me. my package is being delivered through FedEx and i have received a tracking number, the package is from California and i'm in Florida, delivery is estimated to take roughly a week as the expected delivery date is September 18th, 2020. i definitely recommend ordering from them.

Don’t focus on the negative

I was really nervous- thinking I was wasting my money after reading the bad reviews but My order actually came early only waited five days, I contacted costumer service about confirming my order and they responded instantly!

shipping was a little late than usually…

shipping was a little late than usually but this is a special time,it's total understandable. All items arrived in perfect condition,they have some Japanese stuff it's hard to find where I live. Will order again.

Unprofessional Fulfillment Process and Support Staff

Like other reviewers, I got an out-of-stock form in my package but was not notified of the unshipped item via email, despite the form saying I would be. When I emailed them about a refund, I was refunded the amount of the item but not the sales tax. When I followed up about it, the customer service rep was unprofessional and strangely condescending. I was refunded the sales tax in the end, but their approach was more like it was charity than what I was owed. I won't order again.

Good company but they gotta step up w/ new items

I've bought from this website a few times from the energy drinks,candies,cookies,juices,soups,& ramune sodas. Everything came & in good condition, they always let me know when my stuff has been shipped & when it's on it's way to me. Now, reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is b/c the company need to step up their game, they always run out of stuff, never have anything new & it's just the same damn thing. Don't get me wrong, I love shopping from them but I do feel that they need more new foods,snacks, accessories & drinks to get the people's attention. Not trying to be shady,but, Asian grocer needs have more stuff in my opinion other than that it's a trusted company & you do get your stuff even if they've run out of whatever item you've ordered they always give you a refund I know cause it's happened to me & they give me back my money.

Didn’t seem very professional at all

Didn’t seem very professional at all. A few days after placing my order I got an email asking to re confirm my adress because they thought I was going to make a fraudulent charge back for using a different billing address... Didn’t get tracking info until a week later after having to ask for it. One day before it shows up I get a partial refund with no explanation or details. After emailing them asking what it was about, they just said I’ll get a piece of paper in my package explaining why.... that piece of paper just said to email them and that I should’ve already received an email explaining what was missing or refunded... They really should’ve let me know some items were unavailable before shipping my order out, giving me an option to cancle or add something else of equal value. Now I would have to drive it back to the post office and waste gas, money to ship back, time, or reorder what I wanted now 2 weeks late from somewhere else. Disappointing

Fantastic service, don't bat too much of an eye at negative reviews.

I saw a lot of frustrated reviews and to an extent I can understand. I ordered 20 things (larger buy, $~45) and 5 of them were out of stock.

I think that's the only real problem you're going to have with these guys is their website isn't always up to date. However, the items I bought were at $6 a piece on amazon, I got mine for $1.40 from AsianFoodGrocer. The box arrived after about 4 days and they threw in a big bag of Asian style KitKat candy, hi-chew bubblegum and potato chips for free. The inside had a letter informing me I'd receive a refund for the 5 missing items in case I didn't see the email (They refund pretty quick).

Overall I'm really happy, I'd rate 4 stars due to the slight inconvenience of a bit of my order being out of stock but the complimentary items they gave me were very generous and left me with a smile instead of a frown.

Cheaper than Others

A lot of the products are cheaper than my own local Asian Store as well as most other online Asian stores! The box wasn't damaged at all and came at the time it was suppose to! Love the snacks too!
