I am very happy with the 2'x3' heavy nylon yellow and blue horizontal stripe flags I ordered from AmericanFlags.com last month.
Ordering online was easy, fulfilment was fast, and the quality appears to be top notch.
I have in mind several other national and state flags I want to have, but am still dithering about what size I want. Everything I want to order is available on the web site.
It's an American flag made in America, what else do I need to say. I live in a very windy area of northern Michigan. The local veteran memorial recommended these company and design.
Iowa is my home state, and as it turns out, there was a unique American flag for that time period (1847), with 29 stars.
I'm happy to be able to buy a 29 star flag in a good quality, 3' x 5' nylon flag.
This lets me honor my home state and the United States at the same time (and maybe stimulate a few brain cells for those who notice there aren't 50 stars!)
It doesn't really make much difference 20 feet up, but this flag uses appliqued stars, and I have a slight preference for embroidered stars. It's too soon for me to tell if the appliqued stars wear more rapidly than embroidered stars. I haven't been able to find a vendor that is making a 29 star flag with embroidered stars.
Now that I've got my flagpole, I expect to be ordering 29 star flags from now on :)
