I really wanted to like Altitude Sports, but my experience hasn’t been great. Shipping was super delayed, and when I tried to return an item in perfect condition, they wouldn’t accept it. I’ve also had warranty issues—they refused to cover a defective product, which was frustrating. Plus, they use couriers like Intelcom, which in my case led to loss they would not replace or refund. Overall, the customer service and logistics just don’t match the prices they charge. Not sure I’ll shop here again.

Don't try to return a product even after assurances from staff that returns are accepted provided that they are saleable. I encountered rude resistance in trying to return trail runners that provided to be a half size too small. I wore them only five minutes on a hardwood floor and, in my view were in exactly the same condition that I received them.
Pros- good selection and decent delivery
Cons - refuse to honour warranty for defective trail runners. One shoe was larger than the other and caused blisters. I didn’t realize it till I had a couple kms on the shoe and Altitude refused to even have a look at the shoes
I shop with Altitude and their sister company, The Last Hunt quite often. Good deals on great products. I'm leaving a 1 star review in the hopes they will improve their shipping. Takes a week before the item even leaves the warehouse sometimes. No excuse for that in this day and age.
They also sometimes use Intelcom for delivery, who are THE WORST courier imaginable. Packages ripped open on arrival with most contents missing. Items delivered to the wrong address, etc etc. Absolute worst.
Improve your shipping and it's 5 stars

No concern for consumer safety!
Purchased Marker Ski Bindings from Altitude Sports. A year into owning them they defected. Could have resulted in very serious injury. Marker Bindings are covered by a 2 year manufacturing warranty. However they make you manage the claim through the vendor. Altitude charges it's clients $40 to manage warranty claims. Took about 40 days to get any results from this process. In the meantime I had to purchase the same bindings through a local ski shop so I didn't need to redrill my skis. At the end of the process Altitude sourced a replacement part for the binding. However refused to do a safety check on their defective product or issue a full store credit since they were only able to get a replacement part. The replacement was also entirely facilitated through looking at a photograph. Impossible to know if the binding even with the replacement part would be safe to ski. A good reminder to take your business to a brick and mortar shop. Would highly recommend taking your business to established and trustworthy Quebec shops like PRFO, Sport Radical or D-Structure instead. Really any local store with a bit of integrity, unlike Altitude Sports who clearly lack any interest in the safety of their consumers!

I've purchased from this store many…
I've purchased from this store many times and they used to be great. When I first started purchasing from their site I had bought the membership and at that time it was free shipping over $35 I think it was. It may have been $50 but definitely not more than $50.. Either way, since then they have continuously raised the amount to receive free shipping. It's currently at $75 minimum. The thing that annoys me the most is the returns. If I purchase something and it doesn't fit and I return it I used to receive my refund for my return the same day they received my return or 2 days at most. They say your refund will be issued within 3-5 business days from the day they receive the return but I always got the refund before that. My last 2 returns I did not receive my refund within those 3-5 business days and had to complain for them to finally issue the refund. Both times they gave me the same excuse, word for word the same excuse. I used to love shopping on their site, they were very reliable. It's a completely different experience nowadays and it makes me not want to shop on their site at all anymore.

Don't bother paying extra for "expedited" delivery
Paid extra for a rapid delivery to have items delivered prior to activity and 2 days after order as per website's
"promised" delivery date. When item didn't deliver on time, received pushback from company and customer service indicating it was "within expected timeframe". Finally received in an "expedited" fashion 5 days later. Don't bother paying extra - you won't get it on time.

Great selection of products..but hard to get em ??
Great selection of products... LOUSY SHIPPING. and really poor customer service.... Said that an item was in stock but then after nine days told it is a Marketplace product that would ship from manufacturers warehouse... waited two more days and still no response..... A simple phone call would have resolved the issue...

I would rate my recent experience 0/5…
I would rate my recent experience 0/5 if I could. I shop here regularly, but this time they sent me the wrong item. I emailed them a picture of the item tag, clearly showing the incorrect color and size. Instead of addressing the issue, they are asking for more pictures—ones that are redundant. They're requesting a photo of the item number (which I already sent) and a picture of the entire product. The product is large, and showing the full item won’t provide any additional information beyond what the tag already shows. Why ask for unnecessary photos? It’s frustrating and unfair since it’s their mistake, not mine. They didn’t even confirm if the correct item is still in stock. It definitely impacts my likeliness to shop here again.

Zero problems
Ordered Asics Gel Excite 10 running shoes from this company for my boyfriend. From ordering to delivery a seamless experience. I live in a rather hidden location and the courier even got that right . I've looked elsewhere to find these running shoes cheaper and simply cannot. This was definitely a positive purchasing experience and wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. I won`t dispute others had problems with delivery of their items. But this was not one of those experiences. Thankyou

Customer service is a waste of time
Customer service is a waste of time
Have spent 2.5 hours trying to sort an order where I was sent the wrong items (that were supposed to be a Christmas present).
Customer service both on chat and phone have been entirely unhelpful. 50 minutes on chat and ended up being ignored after the agent said they’d send an invoice to make new order.
An hour on the phone, agent promised they’d send a follow up email about re-placing the order for correct item with credits. Never received. Please stop wasting my time and send me the items I ordered.

Good company with poor customer service…
Good company with poor customer service and absolutely terrible shipping operations. It's unfortunate because they encourage loyalty with their lifetime membership, however, every order seems to be a stress-inducing experience that erodes loyalty.
Items are late shipping, are delayed on route (Fed Ex has been highly disappointing) and are seemingly often lost. Tickets to customer service go unanswered, calls to customer service get misleading responses and empty promises and the only resolution can be a PayPal refund.
Buyers here are HIGHLY encouraged to use PayPal for their purchases in case they need to refund a lost order. Buyers cannot rely on customer service at Altitude, period. Do not rely on your credit card for a chargeback as it is a lengthy process. Keep track of all dates: order date, customer service contact dates and details, and tracking information. Be ready to file a claim with PayPal if your order is lost and you will likely get a resolution.
Otherwise, the company has the best prices around. But you need to be lucky.

Subpar delivery experience
I have ordered winter boots as a gift on November 8th with an expedited delivery (2-3 days delivery). Waited for the delivery to come (I believe they were using Purolator), nothing came. Contacted support to inquire - it appeared the package got delayed for a day, so a refund has been issued for the rush service.
Waited for a couple of more days, still no delivery. Things went bad to worse from this point.
I was told no movement on my package has happened since and have to wait for a few more days. Anxiously waited for days until I decided to cancel the order completely as no movement was seen from the Purolator order tracking page. The support agent told me a refund isn't allowed yet until their warehouse has gotten the package from the courier.
Took a good week and a half for their warehouse to confirm the package was in their possession. At this point, refund wasn't still issued as they have a backlog of refunds to do, so I have to wait again.
Another week has passed with no refund. I had to call their support again to follow up. At last, exactly a month after, on December 8th, they issued a refund.

Worst service
Worst service ! I've been waiting for my order for a month now, and they still won't process the refund. They're waiting for their delivery service to confirm that the package is truly lost. I paid for express shipping (which they refunded, but not the order itself). Meanwhile, I have to buy the same items elsewhere and cover the cost twice while waiting for a refund... because, you know, everyone has extra money lying around right before the holidays. Worst of all, even their agent admitted they wouldn’t accept this situation either, yet they still won’t do anything about it. Seriously blowing my mind!

My order was delivered to another building. Altitude did not resolve the matter on a timely manner despite the picture showing that it was not my building AND they did not want to process a refund either. Customer service is terrible and extremely rude.

The company in itself is great
The company in itself is great.
BUT, since they use Nationex for their shipping, if you live in a place where your package could be stolen, JUST DON'T MAKE BUSINESS WITH THEM.
Nationex are not giving a heck about using parcel vaults, boxes or any secure space to leave your packages; they drop it at the door where everybody can see and steal them.
I stopped doing business with Altitude because of that.
When I know they dropped Nationex, maybe I'll reconsider. Maybe, because options are already working so why would I return with them only for ''encouraging local businesses'' if their business is bad ?

Package never arrived and they don’t respond to any messages or emails. Refusing to give me a refund and made me reorder my own product despite my package not arriving. Terrible experience

BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE - guaranteed delivery is very much NOT GUARANTEED. Do not believe for one second their "promised delivery date" bs, it's literally non-existent and they don't even know their delivery dates. I was chasing them around for about 3 weeks about my order not arriving, mind you moving from "label created". First, they told me because of the strike there were delays, then it was because Fedex hadn't picked it up, then Fedex confirmed they hadn't dropped it off, on and on for days. To top it all off, TERRIBLE and extremely rude customer service, just for asking an update on an order that they promised and "guaranteed" would get on a certain date. Can you actually believe this?... Ended up not getting my package till this day, I will HIGHLY ADVISE save yourself the headache and peace of mind, trust me you DO NOT WANT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE GUYS

PLACE IS A SCAM
PLACE IS A SCAM. Wish I had read reviews prior to purchasing. My package had not arrived, when I checked on the tracking it said the package arrived damaged at the shipper and and was being returned to vendor. When I asked about this I was told they will provide a full refund WHEN the items are received back. As these were Christmas presents it was suggested I reorder while still in stock. That would be at full price, not the sale price I paid, and BEFORE they give me my money back. So, they are not honoring my purchase and sending new items, nor are they giving me an immediate refund. I hold no responsibility for any shipping issues on items not received. They should not be holding onto my funds if not planning to provide the products purchased. I will submit a complaint to Ontario Consumer Protection and BBB.
