TracFone – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

incredibly inexpensive, I have had satisfactory service experiences for over a decade. I do not understand the negativity. But will be more wary.

A few years ago I bought a cheap TF phone with bundled min,, txt,, and data from QVC. The setup was simple and it was my backup smart phone for a year. Then another offer came up again a bundle with a better phone. I needed CS to help with the data, txt and min. transfer to the new phone. The person who helped me was OK and got the job done. Next I purchased a package of 2 flip phones just to harvest the additional 2 yrs of service, texts, min and data. For the first phone I called CS fearing that I wouldn't be able to do the transfer myself. It was difficult to explain to the rep. exactly what I wanted to achieve but she eventually understood and, after several attempts was able to get it done but I did lose a little of the data and a few texts. I should say that a friend tried to do the same thing and was on the phone for hrs. with a rep. who had no idea how TF works. She was finally transferred to someone who was also marginal and who strong armed her into buying more data and then he completed the exchange. That was last June. Today, 5/16/'24, I got up the courage to attempt to harvest the bundled service included with the second flip phone I had bought. I took a screenshot of what I had in my account and embarked on the activation and exchange using their on-line automated system. It all took maybe 6 min.and all is well !! No CS needed. Tomorrow I will transfer the account back to my previous Tracfone and away from the flip phone. Hopefully it will go as smoothly. I have read some of the complaints concerning CS. I have been lucky. But to those who say things like "someone should complain to the FTC or FCC, etc., I say don't gripe, call the Federal agencies and do it! I've been happy with Tracfone so far and hope I stay that way. Otherwise it will likely be Tello next. My needs are modest so I usually just use TextNow (free) on an old Galaxy. No problems.

I would like to leave a positive review for a customer service agent that helped me troubleshoot my LG phone yesterday. I tried searching for answers to my problem for countless hours on internet search until one website suggested calling my carrier. It takes a while to get an agent to call you, but eventually they will call. My problem is resolved and my phone rings now instead of going directly to voicemail or forwarding to my spare phone. Thanks Tracfone.

I ported over my phone number to Tracfone in 2020 because Tracfone had a great deal on a new phone that included an annual service plan. I renewed the annual service plan every year until October 2023. Recently, I found another great deal on a new Tracfone phone with an annual plan included so I activated the new phone and kept my same phone number. Tracfone uses the Verizon network so I always get great reception. Also, by renewing my annual plan before it expires every year, I have been able to rollover my remaining minutes, text messages, and data. Finally, I have never had any problems with customer service from Tracfone.

Everyone in our family has iPhones except my husband. He has a trac phone. The kids make fun of him. True story just happened 2 days ago. I did a wash, a large load. My husband’s trac phone was in his pants pocket. When I went to take the cloths out of the washer to put in the dryer I saw something at the bottom of the drum. It was my husbands trac phone. Thought that’s it. Have to get new phone. I knew it couldn’t possibly work. Even went thru spin cycle. Well, sure enough it didn’t work. I laughed when my husband put it in a bowl of rice while charging it. Well, tomorrow will be day 3 and it works and does everything like new. No one can believe it. So, don’t make fun of trac phones people. They work and they save a ton of money. I have to say if this stops working I expect it but so far so good.
